COVID-19 Workplace Policy

Lyttelsoft is committed to protecting the health, safety, and wellbeing of all our staff, partners, clients, contractors, and visitors. We have undertaken a thorough risk assessment, with participation and input from our staff, and we believe COVID-19 presents an immediate and significant risk to the health & safety of our stakeholders.

As part of our commitment to health & safety we are implementing a new COVID-19 Workplace Policy which will apply to everyone who visits our offices or attends our events.  Our policy will sit alongside other guidelines under the New Zealand Government COVID-19 Protection Framework (traffic lights) (https://covid19.govt.nz/traffic-lights/covid-19-protection-framework/).

We recognise and respect that everyone has a right to choose whether to be vaccinated and trust that you will respect our decision also. From 1 February 2022, we will require all staff, partners, clients, contractors, and visitors to our office to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and all will be required to provide us with sufficient evidence of this.

Sufficient evidence of vaccination includes:

a ‘My Vaccine Pass’ – electronically or in hard copy; or
a printout of your vaccination record from the applicable authority; or
proof of exemption

Lyttelsoft may scan your ‘My Vaccine Pass’.  Please do not be offended if we do this. We will use the Ministry of Health NZ Pass Verifier app for this purpose.  When a pass is scanned the pass holder’s name and date of birth only show briefly. The NZ Pass Verifier App does not store or collect this personal information.

In certain circumstances we may keep a copy of this for those who are regular visitors to our office.  Our Client Privacy Policy will cover the way that information is used and stored.   We will periodically ask to sight further evidence of your vaccination status as your ‘My Vaccine Pass’ expires.

In addition to the above policy, we also require that all visitors to our office:notify us if they are feeling unwell or have cold/flu symptoms so we can change your appointment with us.

notify us if they are feeling unwell or have cold/flu symptoms so we can change your appointment with us;
scan in using their COVID Tracer App prior to entering our workplace;
practice good hygiene, including hand sanitising.

We also encourage the use of face coverings; however, these are not mandatory at the current ‘orange’ light setting. For people who are not vaccinated or who for some other reason do not feel comfortable meeting with us in person, we can meet with you in other ways, such as an appointment at a venue outside of our office, via phone or video call.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and we will review our policy as the situation develops and as the New Zealand Government provides further guidance. We are mindful that these are unusual and challenging times for many, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss any concerns you may have.
